  • Note to Lexein: My bad, sorry about not fully understanding the rules. Thanks!--ReismanS (talk) 20:50, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
That's a template (see the <!-- Template:afd-notice --> there in the hidden comment text) with that wording, with my user signature after it. I support it, and added the template per our published and agreed-upon procedure for WP:AfD discussion notification, but I did not explicitly write it myself. Per the WP:Five pillars, Wikipedia doesn't have hard and fast rules, but we have pillars to which we aspire, arbitration committee decisions, policies, guidelines, discussions & consensus (including mediation), and essays, in roughly, and overlapping, order of precedence, IMHO. --Lexein (talk) 21:21, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Request for mediation rejected[edit]

The request for formal mediation concerning Empathetic Logic Analysis, to which you were listed as a party, has been declined. To read an explanation by the Mediation Committee for the rejection of this request, see the mediation request page, which will be deleted by an administrator after a reasonable time. Please direct questions relating to this request to the Chairman of the Committee, or to the mailing list. For more information on forms of dispute resolution, other than formal mediation, that are available, see Wikipedia:Dispute resolution.

  • Note to AGK: I've refiled the request and have sent an email to your WP account for clarification. Thanks!--ReismanS (talk) 20:50, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Not seeing the refiled request, just the original rejected one. Has a new request been filed? If so, can you provide a link to its page? --Lexein (talk) 11:27, 4 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hi Lexein. AGK suggested that I file directly with the Mediation Committee versus filing out an additional forms. I've done so and await their response. This now ends my portion of our dialog until the MC replies. Have a great weekend! Best, S --ReismanS (talk) 13:25, 4 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome[edit]

Hello, ReismanS, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I notice that one of the first articles you created appears to be an article about yourself. This is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

The page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! WGFinley (talk) 03:41, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the warm welcome and the helpful suggestions. I'll get cracking on revising my contribution! Best, --ReismanS (talk) 15:01, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Consider userfication[edit]

After the recent deletion discussion closure, you are free to request WP:Userfication, which moves the deleted article+Talk page into your personal userspace, (say, User:ReismanS/Empathetic Logic Analysis where it will be safe from deletion while it is under development. Just fill in the form at WP:Userfication to make the request.

I do encourage you continue the search for (inhale) publicly verifiable independent reliable academic or professional news, journal or book publications which cite or refer to ELA or your two papers, for the purpose of establishing notability of ELA as a Wikipedia topic, per WP:N.

I wish you patience and persistence, while learning the Wikipedia gestalt, and continuing to contribute. By that I mean, you are cordially invited to jump in and look at Category:Articles needing attention, and try your hand. Again, patience. --Lexein (talk) 12:28, 20 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
