Issues to be addressed[edit]

Hi!

Here are a list of things that you need to address before we can think about moving the article into mainspace.

1) Are you connected with the company in any way? If so, I would recommend that you don't create the article; have a read of WP:COI and WP:BESTCOI.

Assuming that you aren't connected, these need to be addressed:

2) Notability of the company. If the company is notable, then it will meet the requirements listed here: WP:INC. Make sure that the reasons for the notability are included in the article.

3) You need to add references to reliable 3rd party sources. These could be trade journals produced by people unconnected by the company, news items, etc. These will help reinforce the notability of the company. Have a read of WP:CITE.

4) The article as it stands does read less like advertising copy than before, but further improvements need to be made. This can be achieved by keeping a neutral tone (see WP:NPOV) and avoiding any puffery (see WP:PEACOCK). Make sure you also read WP:ADVERT to see the policy on dealing with spam, and tips on what to avoid.

It seems like a lot there, but it shouldn't be too difficult to sort out. If you have any problems, questions or concerns, please feel free to drop me a note on my talk page. Stephen! Coming... 09:30, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've had a read through, and it does read a lot better than before. However, I can't see anything in there to address the notability claims. You provide three in-line citations, but two of them are from within Wikipedia, which don't count. The third doesn't do anything really to add to the notability of the company.
The NZ Herald article does make one interesting statement: This country is home to the highest salmon farm in the world - Mt Cook Alpine Salmon, which sits 600m above sea level in the Southern Lakes district. Is this farm part of the NZ king salmon farm? If so, that might be a claim for notability worth mentioning.
I tried the link to the home page, but the link isn't working (although in a rather ironic fashion, it does display the words "It Works!").
Have a look to see if you can find any other references that can be used to show the company is notable. I'll also see if there are any Wiki Projects about that you can call upon for help in getting your article ready for moving. Stephen! Coming... 07:45, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Found it... It's the Wikipedia:WikiProject Agriculture (shortcut WP:FARM). If you post a request on their talk page, someone will come along and be able to give you a better idea on how things should be addressed. You should be prepared though for the possibility that the company isn't yet notable enough for mainspace. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help. Stephen! One important point I've just seen this post on your talk page. Are you connected with the company? If so, then I suggest you don't continue anymore with this page, as it will be seen as a conflict of interest (see my original comments above). If you are not connected with the company, then please say so - it appears that I am not the only one who has spotted the similarity between your username and the company's name, and there will be others. To save further confusion, please make it explicitly clear whether you are or are not connected with the company. Stephen! Coming... 08:02, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
