The article Dylan Buckley has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

Nomination of Dylan Buckley for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Dylan Buckley is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dylan Buckley until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

  • Hi there. I have re-written the article, as you can't just copy and paste from other websites. WP:COPYVIO is a serious issue and we have to make sure that we rewrite things in our own words all the time. As you have found out, citing references is important too, especially for biographies of living people. As a general rule, it is best not to make articles on players who are yet to play in the AFL premiership season, unless there is plenty of significant coverage of them - ie not just a mention in a match report, or in a "who your club drafted" list. I hope the Buckley ariticle survives through the AFD process, but most other sports are stricter on not have articles on young players before they actually make their debut.
