Username problem

[edit]

Hi, I just wanted to let you know your username may be in violation of Wikipedia's policies on usernames. In particular, you appear to have a very close association with the subject of your edits that may leave you unable to work on the topic without introducing bias towards the subject. I strongly recommend you change your name or else you may be blocked on the basis of appearing to be a promotional vehicle for Rings. Alternatively, you may keep this name but edit on topics other than and not related to the movie in question, or perhaps you could keep it but disclose your affiliation with the movie on your userpage; as long as you do not add language to the article that merely glorifies its subject, you may be permitted to continue editing it. Personally, I couldn't care less, but a username like yours is going to raise some eyebrows, especially if you continue editing in that area, and if you wish to continue editing on Wikipedia (and I hope you do - we need all the help we can get!), these appear to be your only options.
