The article Voorhies Trahan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No reliable sources to verify this article.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. My sister Barbara Broussard (Trahan) has an old copy of the "Louisiana Conservationist Magazine" that has an article on Voorhies Trahan that gives him credit for being one of the pioneers of crawfish farming in Louisiana rice fields. She has been talking to a couple of journalist that are working on this subject. One of the journalist she spoke to is Sam Irwin, he is writing book on the Louisiana crawfish industry, the book will be titled "Louisiana Crawfish: A Succulent History of the Cajun Crustacean" and it is scheduled for released by History Press in time for Mardi Gras 2014. Here is a Link to an article on KATC (Louisiana Television Station) about the book Sam Irwin is writing http://www.katc.com/news/journalist-researching-history-of-the-cajun-crustacean/

My sister has been working on this project and she has much more information than I do, I hope to get her to edit the Wiki on Voorhies Trahan. Hope this will keep you from deleting this article until she can work on itRjtrahan (talk) 22:16, 23 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
