I have noticed that somebody saying he is James Dale Robinson keeps changing his details on his Wiki. How do we know it is Jimmy as he is known by the family. Why would the person keep doing it as if Jimmy doesn't have any family.

The information about him was posted long before the family noticed it but we can confirm:

Born Dale Norman James Robinson in Sale, Manchester, United Kingdom - 1 April 1963. The son of Norman Anthony Robinson 1909-1964 and Mary Louise Wooldridge 1923-1996.

His wiki is read with great pride by many family members in Australia, England, Canada and many other places in the world.

His personal details are now on many family trees some online with ancestral lineage both paternal and maternal to 1700s. His birth cert is with many of those developing the trees. His sister Susanne writes about him on her Blog [1]. His Australian 2nd cousin Rodney Berling [2]now lives in UK and is in the British Film business. He is following in his footsteps. His nephew Matthew an officer in the British Army has many units who read his wiki. Pictures of him are on Facebook. His Wiki is linked to some family members websites.

We would all appreciate it if the person would stop messing about with Jimmy's wiki so it can be expanded for all of us to read.

I have left a note on User_talk:Terrysloan about this issue. If the editor is James Robinson then he is within his rights to ask to have his birth date removed from his article (despite, as you say, it being available on various other sites - the IMDB and Comic Book DB are two others). Family information is usually not included on articles unless it is also notable.
The article will be kept at the version that doesn't include any personal details until it can ascertained whether the account is who he says he is (as there are confidential ways for people to prove their identity) and we'll act accordingly. (Emperor (talk) 15:38, 9 October 2008 (UTC))[reply]
