If your keyboard does not have a squiggly/tilde key, then you can click on the signature icon to add the four tildes to your talk page postings. The signature icon can be found on the edit toolbar that is usually located above the edit screen. The icon will appear as

To insert your signature you need to enter 4 marks (~) on talks pages and forums.
