- Hi Rosiemay28. Thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia. Just some general advice regarding your edit here: [1]. Firstly, as per WP:TONE and WP:INFORMAL, please avoid informal phrases like 'came out of the shadows'. It's also not a good idea to link "civil rights and feminist organisations" to a single organisation. The text 'civil rights and feminist organisations' would be expected to link to an article on civil rights and feminist organisations in general, not an example of one, even if it is the most relevant one for this article. If linking to an specific organisation, use their name, or at the very least, wording that makes it very clear people are going to be directed to an article about one organisation. Also when writing about any issue, but especially a potentially controversial one like this, you should source your statements as per WP:RS. As is customary, I was originally going to revert your addition as it's unsourced, though I can see finding sources for this would be easy, so I've decided to leave it intact for now. I have relocated it to the 'history' section though, as it seems more appropriate there. I hope this information has been helpful. Damien Linnane (talk) 14:14, 7 February 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks Damien. Yes, thanks for your hard work. I was aware my entry was not adequate but I did not wish to interfere with the main thrust if the article so condensed it all too much. As you say the references are endless, how to choose? The rather sudden para about Christian opposition etc also seems out of tone. Certainly the whole matter exploded in the 1970s after the rise of 1960s human rights type activism. The whole article currently starts with law and ends with polls. Both important sections and central foci. But it was the years of intense social activism that drove the bus. Will look again today to see how to address that more fully.
- Good on ya for you diligence. 115.64.78.149 (talk) 20:16, 7 February 2024 (UTC)

False reference inserted into article by referral website??
[edit]This is the third time I have tried to note this concern. Maybe its duplicated elewhere, however will try agian, I have built a new Wikipage over the last month (along with Micheal Tangeman). It is the "Control Abortion referral service" page. There is a reference added in the second last section (on the Darling St Womens Health Centre) to the name (Dr) Vijay Magan (now deceased). The reference may have been my bad, but I dont think so. The added reference is to a different (Dr) Vijay and a refers to them. It's a doctors rating site. https://www.ratemds.com/doctor-ratings/3769810/Dr-Vijay-Maniam-Bankstown-NSW.html/.... I think this is slightly sinister and feels a bit like a bot to me.
