The original Pauline Epistles were written in Hebrew?[edit]

Stop your nonsense on the New Testament article. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 20:26, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

April 2011[edit]

Your recent edit to the page New Testament appears to have added incorrect information and has been reverted or removed. All information in this encyclopedia must be verifiable in a reliable, published source. If you believe the information that you added was correct, please cite the references or sources or before making the changes, discuss them on the article's talk page. Please use the sandbox for any tests that you wish to make. Do take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thank you. There is a single theory that the Gospel of Matthew was originally written in Hebrew and then translated. All other books of the NT canon were originally written in Greek. You may be confusing the New Testament with the Old testament which is written primarily in Hebrew. Walter Görlitz (talk) 22:01, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at New Testament. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. The lede is not the place for citation requests. It is a summary of the article. Please read the article and if the information you're looking for isn't explained sufficiently in the article, cite the section in the body for it.

The NT was written in Koine Greek and the earliest documents were written around 50 AD. All of this is explained in the article. Walter Görlitz (talk) 23:15, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

For language please see New Testament#Language. For dates of composition please see , New Testament#Dates of composition. I hope that clears things up and that you'll stop requesting citations in the lede. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 23:21, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did at New Testament, you may be blocked from editing. I'm sorry, but I have to do this. Please take the time to understand that the lede is simply a summary of the material contained in the article. If you have an issue with the content, see the appropriate section where the information is explained. Once again, the New Testament was not written in Hebrew, it was written in Koine Greek. Walter Görlitz (talk) 23:25, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning; the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at New Testament, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. I have explained before, several times in fact, that the lede or introduction to the article is simply a summary of the article's other sections. If you have a concern with content, please add it to the primary section. The proof you're looking for is in the article. All of the documents we have are in Koine Greek and the early fathers state that the documents were in written in Koine Greek. Walter Görlitz (talk) 00:35, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four halfwidth tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 21:55, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia! I am glad to see you are interested in discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Talk:New Testament are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Thank you.
