Welcome!

Hello, SAMDEHAM, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

For future reference, suggestions (like your Arthur Conan Doyle idea) should be made on discussion pages, rather than content pages. Best--ragesoss 20:22, 11 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Spyware

[edit]

It appears that your computer has some spyware program installed, as edits you make to Wikipedia contain some javascript events designed to promote particular phrases, such as "comic books". For example, see this edit of mine removing such code. The code is harmless to Wikipedia, but still undesirable. You might like to look at our spyware article for links to programs to detect and remove such software.-gadfium 01:52, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Empty discussion pages

[edit]

Hi! Please don't create discussion pages with only the title of the page; if there's no actual discussion, it's better for the page to remain empty. Thanks! Kirill Lokshin 18:48, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

New comics articles

[edit]

Thanks for working on Wikipedia. When creating a comics article, please add it to the board at WP:CMC/NB. Of you need any help with anything, feel free to ask me. Thanks again, Chris Griswold () 07:00, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not wikify the text [[Link title]]. There is no article by that name and that name has been protected to stop it being created. Your behaviour makes you look like a vandal and I assume that in this instance it was just an honest mistake. Thanks. -- Nick 19:48, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
