Hello, I'm Viewmont Viking. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to National Comedy Theatre have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Hi - We added quite a bit of info, including references from various sources to back everything up. I don't believe that it was promotional in nature on any level, we were careful to keep any editorial out and only included objective facts and specific information.

I'm going to try to revert this back, could you please take a look and reconsider this pretty drastic edit?

Who are "we" also do you have a COI if you do have one I recommend you do not edit the article directly and utilize the talk page. Either way the information you are adding is considered Promotional and falls more in line with what should be on the organizations website and not what should be in an encyclopedic article (Webhost. Hello SD3717. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

I am in no way receiving compensation for the edits, and the specific edits are being deliberately written as neutral.

A few items, you say you are not paid nor do you have a conflict of interest. However you specifically stated "Our Page." So my question is what is your relationship with this organization? In addition Wikipedia does not permit shared accounts or accounts that are for an organization, therefore with your continued use of the words such as we, us, and ours gives the feeling you are working with a group or at least at the behest of a group that has an interest in this organization.

Individuals who have a conflict of interest often have a hard time writing in a neutral tone, even if they think they are. Adding what days the performances are and which company's are performing them is considered promotional and is more suitable for the organizations website and not an encyclopedia. You should also use inline citations. Finally you are making medical claims and even worse you are tying it to the organization "using improv techniques to help increase cognitive ability and to keep brain healthy." This is a medical claim and you would need a citation that meets MEDrs and that specifically states the improv techniques at this organization blah blah blah... in order to add it to the article.

In summary you clearly have some sort of COI, you have not been able to edit this article in a neutral tone or within the guidelines set by the Wikipedia Communality.
