Adding birth dates to existing articles

[edit]

Greetings User:SGarfield. I've noticed that you have made some recent edits that added a specific birthdate to articles about living people; for example, see Cris Williamson. In at least three cases, the article had a reference in the existing paragraph but that ref does not verify the month/day of birth that you added. Please review the WP policy about birthdates for living people, here: WP:DOB. At the very least, your recent edits require a new reliable source to back up your birthdate claim. I've reverted them today, but please keep these policies in mind for any future edits where birthdates are involved. Thank you. NOLA1982 (talk) 22:26, 15 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
