A tag has been placed on Sahara (ISP), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. The Kinslayer 12:00, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with Sahara (ISP). If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you.The Kinslayer 12:22, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Sahara (ISP)

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Sahara (ISP), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --OnoremDil 11:42, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sahara (ISP)

[edit]

Hi,

I added the Sahara (ISP) article after noticing the existence of other companies. The content were so neutral as it lists the company commercial name, brief range of services, and glance of history. The Sahara Net is a licensed ISP and is actively involved in business since 1989 and has influence and spread to many people within the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. I think removing this page will not be fair and with no logical justification. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Saafein (talkcontribs)

There is no doubt the company exists, and I have no reason to believe that the information provided was incorrect...but, the article is unsourced and does not explain what makes the company notable per the guidelines at WP:CORP. I am going to copy your comment to the article's talk page. I hope that is alright with you. --OnoremDil 12:10, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
