As you previously discussed on the topic I thought you might be interested. :) ηoian ‡orever ηew ‡rontiers 17:47, 22 July 2015 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Please claim your upload(s): File:Puebla-city-zocalo.jpg
[edit]Hi, This image was seemingly uploaded prior to current image polices, Thank you.
However, as part of ongoing efforts to ensure all media on English Wikipedia is correctly licensed and attributed it would be appreciated if you were able to confirm, that it was your own work, by marking it as {{own}}, amending the {{information}} added by a third party, and by changing the license to an appropriate "self" variant. You can also add |claimed=yes
to the {{Media by uploader}} or {{Presumed self}} tag(s) if present to indicate that you've acknowledged the image, and license shown (and updated the {{information}} where appropriate).
IF you have other uploads, please consider "claiming" them in a similar manner, You can find a list of files you have created here.
This will assist those reviewing the many many "free" images on commons that have not yet been transferred to Commons. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 11:30, 18 September 2017 (UTC)"
- I do not appreciate this tag bomb you have done on that old picture. I said, in the description, that I was the one who took the picture. If you had bothered to look at the image before tag bombing it, you would have observed this. I have wasted five minutes of my life updating the source field; please look at descriptions of images uploaded back when policies were very different to see if their source is accurately described (like it was here). Salton Sea
[edit]File:SaltonSeaArielFromSouth.jpg is a pretty nice shot for an old Nokia. I adjusted the levels to dehaze it a bit; hope that's OK. Dicklyon (talk) 02:55, 2 February 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks, it looks a lot better now. The economy was quite tough back then; a Nikon D3 was out of my budget (although I did get a Coolpix later that year, which took a nice picture of La Josa) Samboy (talk) 07:04, 2 February 2019 (UTC)

[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on List of one-hit wonders in the United States; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Binksternet (talk) 22:03, 3 August 2019 (UTC)
- I can see your confusion. I requested to remove anything that was never put in the top 40; you pointed out (and I agree) that isn’t a good idea. The edit I made was not removing songs which never made the top 40; no the edit I made was one done in accordance with Wikipedia policy and consensus. We need to remove entries which do not have two reliable sources saying they are a one hit wonder (as per consensus on that page); I found about 32 entries which relied on a forum posting, which is not a reliable source, as per Wikipedia policy. The edit I made was not disruptive and it was done in policy, but I can see why you’re confused, since I did suggest something else. Samboy (talk) 02:19, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
