Scientific opinion on climate change

[edit]

People want to be able to verify information on Wikipedia. So, significant edits need have their content cited using reliable sources. See verifiablity. This means that information must be published, and presumably vetted, by reliable groups and individuals. What you should do is to locate a source that supports the edit you wish to make. Then add a citation to that. Peruse the welcome section above to learn about editing Wikipedia. If you have any questions, please feel free to leave a note on my talk page. Welcome and Happy editing! Please discuss your concerns on the article talk page rather than repeatedly adding unsourced comments to the article. Please read WP:BRD and WP:3rr. Vsmith (talk) 02:47, 19 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This article is totally false. Read [1] for extensive detailed comments by world famous scientists. Sanford123445 (talk) 16:01, 19 February 2014 (UTC)Sanford123445[reply]

Please discuss on the article talk: talk:Scientific opinion on climate change. The Wikipedia article on SEPP is more informative than a link to their website homepage (which currently focuses on their April fools award). Vsmith (talk) 19:21, 19 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
www.sepp.org is not a reliable source. You can see why at Science & Environmental Policy Project. They are not a "scientific body". Unfortunately, one does not get to pick the most convenient facts. Jim1138 (talk) 21:28, 19 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Arbitration enforcement warning: Climate change

[edit]
Please carefully read the following notice:

This message is to inform you that the Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions for topics relating to Climate change, which you may have edited. The Committee's decision can be read here.

Discretionary sanctions are intended to prevent further disruption to a topic which has already been significantly disrupted. In practical terms, this means that uninvolved administrators may impose sanctions for any conduct, within or relating to the topic, which fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, expected standards of behavior and applicable policies. The sanctions may include editing restrictions, topic bans, or blocks. Before making any more edits to this topic area, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system as sanctions can be imposed without further warning. Please do not hesitate to contact me or any other editor if you have any questions.

See my talk page for context. Regards,  Sandstein  15:48, 20 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
