Please do not remove valid templates from articles, these templates put the article on lists of articles that need attention. This will bring other editors in that will help improve the article. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 18:22, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for letting me know it was an accident. Wikipedia's software tries to prevent what happened to you(called edit conflicts), but sometimes it fails to. As for how to improve the tone of the article, I would recommend reading our manual of style, Wikipedia:Guide to writing better articles, and also looking at the style other articles are written in.

It is good to see a new user contributing so much right away, if you need any help on anything else ask me on my talk page. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 18:37, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion re plane article

[edit]

Hi Sao. Thanks for the heads up, although I see the new article did not last long.

I have a suggestion regarding the article. That is to start writing it in your namespace (for example, User:Sao123/Plane_on_a_conveyor_belt). You then have plenty of time to find references, copyedit, organize, etc. since it will be safe from deletion so long as progress is being made on it. You then can also ask others for their input, contributions, feedback, etc. At some point the article should be in good enough shape to become a mainspace article. Then you (or anyone) can just move it.

The advantage of this is that if you write the article in mainspace, it will be judged for (or against) deletion based on how it currently reads, its current state of referencing, etc. My suggestion buys time to get the article into keepable shape. Especially since a nominally reliable source (MB) will be available next month (see e.g., this for why waiting til next month is good).

Best of luck with your efforts, and happy editing. Baccyak4H (Yak!) 14:33, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
