Commercial use of Image:AlphaLISA1.jpg

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:AlphaLISA1.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Edits to HIV structure and genome

Hello, Ms. Sara Howland, welcome to Wikipedia. I took the liberty of reverting your recent edits to HIV structure and genome. In particular, the information about a "no wash high-throughput" assay for p24 "in serus" is not relevant to the article section which mentions p24 from an entirely different context. The additional detail that p24 is a protein assayed in blood tests is sufficient. There exist already articles on the subject of HIV testing, and perhaps the information pertaining to Perkins-Elmers "AlphaLISA" technique belongs there.

In addition, it is poor form to add material to the <references/>-built section of an article, particularly when the material is not actually used as a reference. To properly add references, consult WP:CITE and with regard to extrnal links, WP:EL.

Because the information you added seemed to be in a sales-oriented tone, and the "reference" you added was to a product announcement, I suspect that your intentions in editing Wikipedia are commercial. This is not welcome. Wikipedia editors are encouraged to maintain a Neutral Point of View when adding information to Wikipedia.
