Thanks for uploading Image:Matt wiki pic.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Matt wiki pic.JPG. The copy called Image:Matt wiki pic.JPG has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 20:30, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nonsense of Matt Ketel

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Matt Ketel, by T smitts (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Matt Ketel provides no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Matt Ketel, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it did not nominate Matt Ketel itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 04:53, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Any good-faith effort to improve the encyclopedia, even if misguided or ill-considered, is not vandalism..."

Dear Fang Aili, I appreciate what you and your colleges are doing. Wikipedia is indeed an extremely valuable asset to everyone from the striving college student to the highest CEO of a major company. I believe that the information found on Wikipedia, due to its easy access needs to be not only factual (thanks to you and others like you it is of the highest standard, despite the popular opinion of the public that it is not), but also very abundant and diverse. Wall Burglar, the article in question, is a very regional subject, and not much information, if any would be found on the internet via Google search. I can certainly see where you are coming from considering it vandalism, and this is a true testimony to the fine filter of the dedicated Wikipedians such as yourself, unfortunately Wall Burglar is a special case that must be reconsidered. Please, if you consider it appropriate could you bring back this special article, it would mean the world to not only me but the entire community of the small town of Ola, South Dakota. Wall Burglar is a very special part of our city. Thanks again for all you do for this wonderful project of Wikipedia Sincerely, Sasquatchjr., and the entire community of Ola

Ok, I'm going to assume that you are not just messing around, and I will explain why an entry on the wall burglar, as you describe it, is not appropriate for Wikipedia. First, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and as such, should contain articles on notable subjects. It is not an indiscriminate file of information. The stick figure MS Paint pictures are also not appropriate. Thank you and have a great day, Fang Aili talk 17:48, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
