New Awards?
[edit]Where did you get info Foreign Service Civilian Campaign Award and hazardous duty award? Last time anyone on the Sounding Board heard, M wasn't too keen on these types of awards (or medals/ribbons). . . Mikebar (talk) 01:45, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
- If you have open source info on the Service and Hazardous Duty proposed awards, please link to the information directly or send me a link or two so they may be substantuated as truly proposed. I'm all for pushing through new recognitions if they truly are in the pipeline but I have found nothing to date on these. Mikebar (talk) 13:16, 10 April 2011 (UTC)
- See http://diplopundit.blogspot.com/2011/04/diplopundit-is-officially-source-in.html for use of that website as a source Mikebar (talk) 23:43, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
I want to assume good faith but your recent new article, Expeditionary Service Award does not include viable sources. Your reference does not point to a document and your external link [1] makes no mention of this new award. Previously, you wrote articles about several State Department awards which were deleted: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Foreign Service Civilian Campaign Award. Whether this was a hoax or a little crystal balling I am not sure, but unless you can provide a verifiable source, this page will likely be deleted as well. Cheers. - The telegram checks out but you'll really need a published valid source to reference as internal State telegrams are not readily verifiable by the public-at-large. Especially the picture - who has seen one of these? Mikebar (talk) 02:19, 16 October 2011 (UTC)
Hello Satre21,
It seems to me that an article you worked on, DOD Inspector General Distinguished Service Award, may be copied from http://militarywired.com/library/en/Department-of-Defense-Inspector-General-Distinguished-Service-Medal. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.
It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.

Disambiguation link notification for January 31
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Bureau of Consular Affairs, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Immigration and Nationality Act (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
