ISBN hyphenation rules

[edit]

They are based on a table found on the ISBN Agency's web site [1]. I assume you know that the first part is language group, the second publisher (within lang group) the third a serial number and the last a check digit.

Tryall/Montebello

[edit]

I'm not sure what you're saying/asking. Could you give specific quotes? -- I@n 12:23, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough. Do you know of any (on-line) maps of the montebello's/north west cape area? -- I@n 12:43, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I brought two maps last week, I'll try scanning them and sending you some reduced jpegs if you want, please let me know :) SatuSuro 12:54, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That'd be excellent. I'd like to try making a map of my own from anything you've got. -- I@n 13:47, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Fantastico. I'm tied up tomorrow and out of town all Tuesday (Katanning). If OK, can I email you Wednesday once I know where I'm going to be. -- I@n 13:47, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Salatiga edits...

[edit]

White space comment - Please understand I do not wish to denigrate your hard work! With respect, if some of the other eds I know would see that art they would be rude and ruthless. Having lived in Yk I dont wish to be either :) I had friends who did the indonesian course there :) SatuSuro 13:42, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No offence at all. (actually they weren't my edits anyway). I was always too scared to edit that history section cos i didn't understand it - the English is not clear (like mud). But since your edit i decided to try and interpret it. I think i got the correct intention. I actually don't know anything about the history of salatiga. Can you check that i interpreted it the correct way - it makes little sense: [2]
Also, thanks for your link on the Javanese ceremonies - i will have a closer look soon. Merbabu 13:59, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
PS, whoops - i just saw my comments about the history section being mess (ie, in the history tab). No offence was meant to you, in fact the opposite.
Heheh the ineluctable joy of misunderstanding of wikipedia at its best aaahh :) ~!SatuSuro 15:03, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Aboriginal name

[edit]

I think it's okay for the Aboriginal name to go in the article (if it's verifiable through reliable sources), I just don't think it was in the right place. I didn't move it elsewhere because I wasn't sure exactly where it belonged (and I haven't seen any reliable sources). Cheers, Sarah Ewart (Talk) 02:45, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for that. I'll definitely have a look at Cape Barren Island. Sarah Ewart (Talk) 02:58, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've watchlisted it. I also tagged it as unreferenced and tried to clean-up some of the language because it seemed very POV and messy, but I've probably just made it worse! :) Sarah Ewart (Talk) 03:14, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tourism Art

[edit]

... and you are going to complete it. :-) Salam kenal & thanks. — Indon 13:23, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Woohooo, what a story! I am not sure if I can get 100% what you meant, but I've been living in Europe for 6 years. So far, they endorse tourism in Indonesia. They feel amazed about Indonesian culture and its nature. Maybe I got a little bit biased, because I live in Holland. However, all of my non-Dutch friends share the similar feelings. What they criticize is the Indonesian government. Who wouldn't? We, as an Indonesian citizen, should also monitor our government, do criticize if they are doing is wrong. Back to the tourism article. It's such a pity if there is no mention about Indonesian tourism in the Wikipedia. By this wikiproject, it's a good time to present what Indonesia actually is with our best knowledge. So, let's do it together. The tourism page is the first collaboration of the week article. Our aim is get the first Indonesia-related FA article. — Indon 14:00, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yahoo

[edit]

Okay, yahoo will do. Do you have the messenger? Cheers -- Imoeng 13:44, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, no, it would be useful if we can talk via messenger, otherwise, just use this talkpage. Cheers -- Imoeng 13:53, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Historical context - what do you think? Sorry I don't really understand your subject matter. On which article is that? Imoeng 10:50, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Imoeng, it's the Tourism in Indonesia article. SatuSuro, it's great. I'll try to fix some syntax error and add sources. However, it gives a different perspective to the article. — Indon 11:00, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
On the second thought, can you add your sources about the historical context. It lacks of WP:NPOV — I just read about NPOV this morning because of Bandung article ;-) —. Indon 11:06, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Okay just explain it to me through my Yahoo. I will gladly help. Cheers -- Imoeng 12:56, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't erase the whole section. You can see it is still there. I just put [citation needed] tags, to clarify things you've written, because they are all opinions. And what's wrong with the volcanoes section? All of them are facts, not an opinion. I really don't understand. Please explain to me in my wiki talk. I'll accept it in Indonesian. By the way, the article does not belong to me. It is under the collaboration of the project. If you want, we can disscuss this issue in the Talk:Tourism in Indonesia page. — Indon 13:15, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi SatuSuro

Saw your message to me about having two accounts, but I confess I have no idea why you think that (no I don't have two accounts).

Anyway, I also noticed you've done alot of work on the State Library of WA pages. I've just been fixing up a couple of the URLs. Thanks for all of your work on them - much appreciated :-) (I work there so it's nice to see others contributing towards these pages).

Cheers Sonic

Explanation

[edit]

It is a hard time, cause from the way I see it, there is a "confrontation" here, slightly. It is happened related to your entry on Tourism on Indonesia. When I say this, I don't mean there is something wrong with the entry, but Indon, you, and me have been discussed in a somewhat "intense" level, again, from the way I see it. Have you looked at your email inbox? I've replied your email.

By the way, could you please immediately cite the sources for the entry? As it is being peer reviewed so we don't want too many negative comment. Cheers -- Imoeng 10:29, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Let's discuss this issue in the Talk:Tourism in Indonesia so to other contributors can understand what is the going about. — Indon 10:35, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Notice I put "from Indon's talk page" there? So now lets solve this issue. Imoeng 11:22, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh sorry, but I never said you have to put citations "tonight", but I just simply said, "add citations please". There is a huge difference. As for the "not online refs only", it goes back to my comment. As you know, once you submit an entry for an article, every single person on earth can read that, which is why it is very important to put citations. If not, you would probably work on that at your own userspace. Cheers -- Imoeng 11:37, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Trial/Tryall/Tryal

[edit]

James Hendersons book The Phantoms of the Tryall is a fabulous read and there's a number of copies floating around in the public library system if your interested. I'm going to try and track down a copy for my own good self to buy. -- I@n 14:33, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A long lunch at the SRL sounds good! Perhaps the Perth Gaol coffee shop. I'm off to bed now though. See ya later. -- I@n 14:37, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Relax

[edit]

Please relax. We are making any articles better. Your contribution is a great help. By the way, I've put something in the historical context section that I just found. I am going to add citation for your edit if I can find it. Don't worry. ;-)

Anyway, please do not take back yourself from the project. Let's resolve issues together. — Indon 14:36, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RE:Dun Bakery is back

[edit]

No ive seen it thats at least three times now, at least they where a bit less obvious this time they even left out the world fammous tag its only well known all over Australia now. Its just a business owner looking for some free publicity, thats wrong they should have to pay like everybody else. Im pretty sure its breaking the NPOV, would you like to do the honours or should I. :)Hossen27 02:40, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Further Reading in Indo Tourism Article

[edit]

Hi SatuSuro. I noticed you re-ordered the list of references. What is the new order based on? Any convetion that you are adhering to? I had it ordered by first publication date. Anyway, it is always easier if edits are explained. By the way, i am not sure if it was you, but i change "references" back to "further reading" as that was a list of tourism related books that i thought had a place as "further reading". They were not "references" used for writing the article. My apologies if it wasn't you who made this change. Thanks Merbabu 10:59, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
