Sbjohnson/testVCpage[edit]

Did you mean to create Sbjohnson/testVCpage as User:Sbjohnson/testVCpage? From its name my guess is that is what you intended to do. If you do not know how to move it or cannot move it let me know and I will do it for you. If you think it is ready to release as a normal article I can also help you Move it. Sbowers3 (talk) 23:26, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I moved it. Now at User:Sbjohnson/testVCpage. Looks interesting. Welcome aboard! Angus McLellan (Talk) 23:31, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

{{helpme}} Thank you Sbowers3. I think the page about Vermont College is ready to be released as a normal article. I don't know how to move it. Could you please move it for me? If there is anything I did wrong, please alter it. I just wanted to get a good start of a page up on the system, knowing that others will make edits and improve it.

Also, I could not make the references into 2 columns. I tried several ways and failed. I tried using "reflist" and a /2 and a few other ways.

There are 7 (that I can see) existing wiki articles that will link back to this article. I will do that this next week. Thanks again. Sbjohnson (talk) 06:17, 4 May 2008 (UTC) (Sbjohnson)[reply]

There is a "move" tab at the top of the page, and you can move it there. Soxred93 (u t) 06:35, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Martine Leavitt, author--2012.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Martine Leavitt, author--2012.jpg, which you've sourced to Martine Leavitt. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 10:20, 21 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Stefan2 raised a question at a notice board; I have looked into it and resolved it. Our apologies for taking so long, but the OTRS system is backlogged with hundreds of requests. --SPhilbrick(Talk) 17:58, 5 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Bibliographies[edit]

Hi, nice work. if i might make a suggestion about your bibliographies, it's important to include the wp:ISBN numbers, so the world cat magic functionality can be done. Duckduckstop (talk) 17:20, 19 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Sbjohnson. Nice work on your new article. I would recommend adding it to appropriate Wikiprojects, such as Biography. Also, consider an infobox?
