Welcome!

Hello, Jordyn Henry Schroder, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your edits have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may be removed if they have not yet been. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. As well, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or you can type {{helpme}} on your user page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!  Dougweller (talk) 09:07, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Giovanni Borgia, 2nd Duke of Gandia[edit]

Thanks for trying to help here, but I've reverted you. Partially because the date of his birth isn't certain and your edits made it look as though it is certain (which is also a problem with the articles), partially because you actually changed a date that had a source - which you should only do if you can show that the source has been misrepresented.

But work is needed here. Here are some sources - [1]. Not all of them meet our criteria for sources, see WP:VERIFY and WP:RS, and at least one copies our articles. We should probably find at least one source that we can attribute, eg Sabatini, rather than have Wikipedia make the statement. You'll need to use the same citation style as in the article, and for books make sure you include the page number. Dougweller (talk) 09:12, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi[edit]

Hi, Schroder1362, I've completed the rename of your account. Please be sure to use this as your username when you log in from now on; if you haven't already, logging out and logging back in with your new username would probably be best. Thanks, and happy editing! Writ Keeper  02:41, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
