[edit]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in 10,000 BC (film). Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. —Erik (talkcontrib) - 02:27, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue spamming Wikipedia, as you did to 10,000 BC (film), you will be blocked from editing. —Erik (talkcontrib) - 15:22, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's not spam, it's a link to an external review, which falls under the Wikipedia guidelines: "For albums, movies, books, and other creative works, links to professional reviews." We are a professional site publishing professional review; therefore, we have every right to have Wikipedia link to us. Jimmy Wales says so. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Screenjabber (talkcontribs) 14:59, March 16, 2008

Your contribution is still a conflict of interest, as your addition will obviously attract visitors to your website. This is your final warning -- if you continue soliciting your website on Wikipedia, you will be blocked from editing. —Erik (talkcontrib) - 23:55, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia, because it appears to be mainly intended or used for promotional purposes of a company or group. See Wikipedia:FAQ/Organization and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest.

In addition, accounts are for individuals only, not for companies or groups or other collective editing, and your username should reflect this.

Wikipedia is not a promotion website; this kind of activity is considered spam on Wikipedia, and forbidden by policies, and usernames that appear to be promotional also violate our username policy. Editing on Wikipedia is not intended to be used to promote anyone, or anything, and its use for that purpose will result in blocking of the account involved.

If you feel that there has been a mistake, please appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} on your user talk page or contacting the administrator who has blocked you. Your reason should include a clear response to this issue and a new username you wish to adopt that does not violate our username policy. Please check that your new username has not already been taken here. Cirt (talk) 07:02, 4 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
