Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Trent Affair. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Thanks, Pfainuk. I was simply trying to correct a verb plurality disagreement, and I really don't know how I managed to blitz the rest of the entry. I thought I was pretty familiar with wiki operations, but I'll have to double-check before I try again. Glad you were watching! Protovit (talk) 19:49, 8 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
We all manage to do strange things to the wiki occasionally, so no worries! I've redone your plural agreement.
I think I read somewhere that some older browsers just cut the end off if the text in the edit screen is too long - and Trent Affair is a very long article. I don't know if that applies to you, but it's a thought. If you want, you can edit just one section of the article by pressing the "[edit]" link on the same line as the section header - that makes it easier to find the bits you want to change as it means there isn't so much text in the edit window. Also, if your browser is cutting off the ends of long articles, it's less likely to do it if you've not got so much information in the text box. If you want to edit several sections you can always do several edits.
There is also a "show changes" button on the edit interface that allows you to see what you've changed: just in case you've not seen it before, the yellow bit tells you what the old version looked like and the green screen tells you what the new version looks like.
I'll give you a welcome template on the top of this talk page, which has some useful links on it, and otherwise, have fun and happy editing. Pfainuk talk 20:33, 8 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
