Yes, I assumed as much -- that it was an extinct subspecies of lion. But that was not the only reason I removed it. It is complicated, it is too big, and especially it has a watermark on it which is against WP policy regarding such. The work you did was very nice, but it has to serve a purpose other than being very nice to look at. It has to be informative, in an encyclopedia way. Just because I assumed that the lion was an extinct species, doesn't mean it would help educate the casual readers. The watermark is the bigger problem right now, as I have tagged it as such. Cheers. ←GeeAlice 03:26, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your image uploads

[edit]

I must say, they are really beautiful, but there are policies in place that restrict their use. I think it would help for you to read up on some of these policies here and here. Also there may be a problem, other then the watermarks on the images, with WP:Original research, which is also against policy. Also, the images used in your Photoshopped images may be under copyright themselves, which is also a problem. I also use graphic software, and enjoy making new images, but I cannot use them on Wikipedia in the article space. Unless they are not original research, do not included images that may be copyrighted themselves, or have watermarks on them. They are not allowed. I hope you understand. ←GeeAlice 04:10, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your other account

[edit]

Also using two different accounts on the same articles, and subjects is discouraged because it splits up your edit history. As it appears you are using this account also, User:Sergiodlarosa, where you were told the images are inappropriate hereGeeAlice 04:20, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Question

[edit]

When you say you created your images in Adobe Photoshop, what do you mean? Where did the original photos come from? Did you take the photos? Anakin (contribscomplaints) 14:09, 1 February 2008 (UTC) In fact after reading the links above that GeeAlice has pointed out, it suggests that the source is copyrighted and you may not have the legal rights to release them under the GFDL. Please clarify the source. Thank you. • Anakin (contribscomplaints) 14:17, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
