Unspecified source for Image:Rabeya khatun.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Rabeya khatun.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ragib 01:32, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
Don't copy-paste: is it!
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate your contributions to the Rabeya Khatun article, but we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. Perhaps you would like to rewrite the article in your own words. For more information, take a look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Happy editing! --Ragib 01:32, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
- Mr. Manik, please reword the text, which you took from NewAgeBD. This will be ok if you reword the text. Thanks. --Ragib 01:34, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
- Mr. Manik, I'm requesting you again, please do not cut paste text from [1]. You may reword the text and add it, but copyrighted text is not allowed. Thank you. --Ragib 01:56, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Mr Ragib, that interview was published in PriyoCanberra.com [now priyoaustralia.com] last year and the photo we have received from Rabeya Khatun herself. Anyway we have managed to get another interview appointment and hope to publish on priyoaustralia.com in the near future. Keep up your good work. I am stil in red with "cut and paste". Rabeya Khatun now visiting Australia and mother of my close friend. Thanks.
- Thanks for the update. I noticed that the interview's original source is The daily NewAge. If Rabeya Khatun is your friends mother, could you ask your friend to give permission for using the photo? Then we don't need to use "Fair Use" as the tag, we can release it as a free-image (GFDL or Creative commons). Please feel free to expand the article as you see fit, just do not take something off a website. Simply rewording the text is just fine. Thanks. --Ragib 02:26, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Abed.gif
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Abed.gif requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - Jayanta Nath (Talk|Contrb) 19:05, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for File:Rabeya khatun.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Rabeya khatun.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. - Jayanta Nath (Talk|Contrb) 19:10, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
