Speedy deletion nomination of DUROLANE

A tag has been placed on DUROLANE, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Proposed deletion of DUROLANE

The article DUROLANE has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi Sajilvt, I saw that you placed a hangon tag on DUROLANE and then removed it a minute later. It's true that a hangon tag is not the right way to dispute a proposed deletion (called a PROD) rather than a speedy deletion. So when you removed the hangon, was that because you decided you don't oppose deletion, or just that you weren't sure how to express your opposition? The fact is, anyone, including an article's creator, may dispute a PROD simply by removing it from the article. So if you think the article should stay, you can delete the PROD, including the line that says "Do not use the "dated prod" template directly...." However, since you have not indicated how this product might meet our guidelines of notability for inclusion, like WP:PRODUCT, I would probably nominate the article for deletion in Articles for Deletion, where other users can comment on it. A tag has been placed on Yahoo.P.P requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
