Wikipedia:WikiProject Railways in India

Can we have a discussion on WP:INRI to improve the articles and organization of the articles ? --naveenpf (talk) 02:43, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

Re: Your edit to Indian Railways

The Zonal HQ of SCR is at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad (not at the railway station itself) and the division is called "Secunderabad", not "Secunderabad Station" (according to the official website). Hence, I have reverted this edit of yours. Regards, SBC-YPR (talk) 16:46, 19 April 2010 (UTC) -->

Tatanagar railway station edits

thanks for your recent edits to Tatanagar Railway Station, i really appreciate the pains u took for enhancing the pages content. Coming to ur advice that Template:Infobox Station be replaced by Infobox:Indian railway station i feel that that this template is clearly underdeveloped and does not provide enough field for information. The former is practised world wide and is a standard. May be stations of our country are not so much developed but surely one day they would be.May be we can fill all the fields later. moreover most imp. stations in the country like Howrah rly station,CSTM mumbai,NDLS delhi use this format.

Looking forward to more discussions.--Devx101 (talk) 14:30, 24 May 2010 (UTC)

OK fair enough, but the blurb only mentions the color scheme. I am adding the reaction to the paint scheme, which is pretty relevant, don't you think? I have edited the existing section now. Please, refrain from imposing what might be your own personal views. I am not publishing *my opinion* here, go read IRFCA comments on Duronotos and make up your own mind. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Xetairex (talkcontribs) 17:06, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

Non-free files in your user space

Hey there Sharadbob, thank you for your contributions. I am a bot, alerting you that non-free files are not allowed in user or talk space. I removed some files I found on User:Sharadbob/sandbox on Infobox Indian Station. In the future, please refrain from adding fair-use files to your user-space drafts or your talk page.

  • See a log of files removed today here.

Thank you, -- DASHBot (talk) 05:11, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

I see that you don't want anything negative about the colors published here.

Any particular reason why? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Xetairex (talkcontribs) 00:38, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

Image Setback

Do not remove the image of Madras Central and Bombay VT in the train Station page.Secundrabad Junction has been already compiled at the Railways in India page.Chennai Central & Bombay VT are historic railway TERMINUS that accomodate more traffic(goods/passenger) than Secundrabad Jn.So please do not repeat changing the files,Instead you may add a new file in a newer category.Your activities are being noticed by others as well & u are prone to be reported for spamming. --A.arvind.arasu (talk) 11:19, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

Actually,at first i suppose there were images of all the three railroad stations in the page. But someone replaced the Secundrabad station image with another station whose details im not certain with. You reacted by replacing the Chennai Central with your image instead of figuring out what image replaced your file.Ive undone your actions many times only to be replaced by your file.

And i have never tried to remove your file by all means.i only started to replace it when i found that the Chennai Central file was demolished.

Though it is'nt wrong to use a file more than one pages, it often leads to the 'misuse' of the file and is considered nothing else than an advertisement according to one of wikipedia's portals.

I have not tried to remove your file and it might have been someone else who would have as there were three Indian train stations in a global article. The 'someone else' is whom i reffered to as others who has started noticing your activities.Thats why i have suggested you to add your file to some other page which i have reffered as a new category.

Ive just noticed that the Bombay VT was not replaced by you and it might have been some other cause.Im extremely sorry tht i have misunderstood you at some points but after reading your replies i have my sincere regrets for them.
