List of bisexual characters in television

[edit]

Your edit was reverted because the sources you provided do not confirm that the character is bisexual. Sources must verify that characters added to this list are specifically identified as bisexual. WP:PROOF states: "All material in Wikipedia mainspace, including everything in articles, lists, and captions, must be verifiable." Sources that refuse to use the word "bisexual" and only say "queer" are not suitable for this list because they do not verify the purpose of the list, which is bisexual characters. The term "queer" is ambiguous.
If you find sources that identify The Cat King as bisexual, the name can be re-added to the list with those sources. Cheers. Pyxis Solitary (yak yak). Ol' homo. 04:35, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Identity of fictional character vs. identity of actor that plays character

[edit]

I saw that you used the following Out magazine source to claim that character Che Diaz, played by Sara Ramirez, is a bisexual character: Here's what we know about Sara Ramirez's messy firing from And Just Like That.... However, if you read what is actually published in the article, it says "...the bisexual, nonbinary actor played Che Diaz...Diaz is a nonbinary comedian...." The source does not say that the character Diaz is also bisexual. You conflated Ramirez's self-identification with the identity of the character in the series. I know that finding sources for fictional characters that comply with WP:PROOF can be a hassle, and I also know that it's a hassle to read them carefully. But there's no way around it. Mae Martin

[edit]

I deleted the Mae Martin character from the List of bisexual characters in television. NONE of the sources you provided say that the character is (1) bisexual, (2) non-binary, and (3) transgender. If you cannot find sources that explicitly confirm the identity of characters in their specific identity lists, you cannot add them to the lists for L or G or B or T or Q characters.
If you want to be a Wikipedia editor, the least you can do is to first read and comprehend WP:RS, WP:PROOF, and WP:NOR. Pyxis Solitary (yak yak). Ol' homo. 08:21, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
