Shantipur

[edit]

There were two pages - one Santipur and the other Shantipur. I had put up a merge notice and then merged the two. I used the Santipur spelling because the official Nadia district page was not clear about it. They are using both spellings. Anyway, I don't have a preference and so I have made it Shantipur, although I am not sure about it being the official spelling. Moreover, I wonder why you never responded to the merge notice and took so many months to respond now. As for Nadia, the official spelling is Nadia and so it should remain that till it is changed to some other spelling. - P.K.Niyogi 23:49, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nadia or Nodia

[edit]

I have replied to your opinions on the talk page of Shantipur. However, I would suggest that you read Wikipedia:Verifiability and Wikipedia:No original research to understand how Wikipedia works. It clearly says, ‘The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth.’. However, since there is nothing personal about this, please discuss on the Shantipur talk page, not on my talk page. Regards - P.K.Niyogi 14:28, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
