This is the text of a citation of the financial express award for economics presented to my late grandfather Professor Bagicha Singh Minhas who passed away on the 30th of August 2005. Professor Minhas was a world famous economist and I want to add a lot more information to his page. He was coauthor of the famous SMAC production functions " Solow-Minhas-Arrow-Chenery Production Functions. Any economist on your staff can verify that. This text was published in many newspapers in 1999 when he was presented with the award. My grandfather also received the Padma Bhushan in 2003.
