Welcome to Wikipedia

[edit]

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. You may want to take a look at the welcome page, tutorial, and stylebook, avoiding common mistakes and Wikipedia is not pages.

I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers such as yourself:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! --File:Ottawa flag.png Spinboy 21:22, 17 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Moneystoredelta 009-1.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you.

Your username suggests that you are M. Susan Orr-Klopfer, who took this picture. If so, then thanks for uploading it and could you tag the image with {GFDL-self}. If you're not her, could you help us verify that M. Susan Orr-Klopfer has released the rights to this image under a free license? Leave me a message if you have any questions. I was about to tag this as a copyright violation because the quality of writing was extremely high and professional looking, which is rare for newly created articles. I was sure that it had been produced by a professional writer and googled searched a passage of text to test it for a copyright violation. Finding no matches, I went to ask you about it, only to discover that you are indeed a professional writer and an expert on the subject. Thank you very much for your contribution. I hope you continue to contribute to Wikipedia. We can always use more great writers and knowledgable contributors. If you have any questions about Wikipedia, how it works, how to edit, the Wikipedia community, or anything else relating to the project, please leave a note on my talk page or e-mail me (with the link on my talk page). —WAvegetarian(talk) 21:41, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have wikified your article, adding in links to other relevant articles. In the future, please consider doing this yourself. Click the link for more information. —WAvegetarian(talk) 22:07, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
