Lisa Nowak

[edit]

The material you added to the Nowak article is inappropriate. The article is about her, and, of course, her case was an important event in her life. However, her attorney was not. Even if Lykkebak were sufficiently notable to have an article at Wikipedia, at best, his name might be mentioned in the article (it is mentioned in the first reference), but to call him "notable" and to go into his past history as a lawyer, is irrelevant to an article about Nowak. Please familiarize yourself with WP:BRD. You're a brand new editor here, and Wikipedia's policies and guidelines take some getting used to. You did the "bold" part of BRD, I did the revert part, and now it's time to discuss why your edit was reverted, which is what I'm doing now. What you're not supposed to do is insist on your change to the article (reverting) without discussion. I'm going to remove the material. Please do not reinstate it without discussing it here or on the Nowak's Talk page if you prefer. Thanks.--Bbb23 (talk) 11:54, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

lisa nowak edit

[edit]

Bbb23 hey sorry, just realized I put the response on your talk page instead of this one. please take a look at your page to see the response. Smoaktim (talk) 01:14, 22 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, we're bouncing back and forth. Just in case you didn't see it, I commented on my Talk page.--Bbb23 (talk) 13:39, 22 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed the comments on your talk page between us were deleted and I had not had a chance to respond unfortunately. I do still disagree and think that the attorney and his location should be added. I have been researching similar situations to see my thinking is in line with current wikipedia editing practices and have found an overwhelming amount of supporting evidence. I do not know if i should just start a topic on the lisa nowak page and include all of my arguments or if I should do the bold edit, wait for a revision, and then bring it up on the talk page. your advice would be appreciated. Thank you!Smoaktim (talk) 23:56, 22 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Our conversation on my Talk page, including my latest comments, are still there. See here. A quick answer to your question, though, is start a topic on the article Talk page.--Bbb23 (talk) 00:18, 23 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ok I will follow your suggestion and start the new topic. Smoaktim (talk) 03:16, 25 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
