Anna Akhmatova

[edit]

You should check out the death date in the Nikolai Gumilyov article. It seems like the old references have been superseded by recent discoveries. Deb (talk) 19:34, 3 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I have amended the article. The exact day is not that big a deal in the Anna A scheme of things. Anna (talk) 19:41, 3 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Dorothy Sayers

[edit]

I added a note to the article talk page explaining my use of the quote,. There's a new bio of her with intensive coverage of Cournos. DGG ( talk ) 03:13, 8 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The plans sound great but please revert your recent addition as it makes no sense as is and is full of spelling errors. Anna (talk) 13:14, 8 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry!

[edit]

I realized I'm sort of a nuisance and will be dialing back my participation in Wikipedia. Thank you, Thanoscar21talk, contribs 02:00, 21 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ted Hughes: your proposed revision

[edit]

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/simon-armitage-appointed-new-uk-poet-laureate. As you will see, the UK Government and HM The Queen refer to the Poet Laureate as having been appointed, not "serving as" so I shall revert your suggested edit.Sevenoaks27 (talk) 08:23, 30 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I say that "serving" is a better word. Many suggested laureates have turned down the post. There has to be full agreement from the poet, usually after long consideration. Anna (talk) 16:36, 1 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for suggesting how I can navigate my way through the morass of Wikipedia in my efforts to make helpful edits. Sevenoaks27 (talk) 08:27, 30 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message

[edit]
Hello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2020 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:24, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
