DowntownBoston.jpg nominated for featured picture
[edit]I would like to let you know that I came across your DowntownBoston.jpg picture in the Boston, Massachusetts article and found it to be quite eye-catching. After viewing the image at its full resolution, I was so impressed by the colors, lighting, and composition, that I just had to nominate it as a featured picture.
The image's nomination page can be found at Wikipedia:Featured_picture_candidates/Downtown_Boston. Good luck. –Crashintome4196 00:46, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the nomination! Spinnick597 22:26, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
From Boston University: request of real name to display your photo on campus
[edit]Dear Spinnick597,
This note is to let you know that we have taken the liberty of using your photo of downtown Boston. We found your great photo of downtown Boston on Wikipedia. The photograph was enlarged to a color poster of size 8' x 5' and used to decorate Boston University's Beantown Bash event this past February. Now, we here at Boston University would like to display that enlarged poster in the studentlink (a hallway in the George Sherman Building). We would like to attribute your 'real' name to the photo. Our contact e-mail is oocs@bu.edu or you can just post your name as a response to this comment in the Wikipedia discussion page.

- My name is Nick Mitchell. This is quite an honor; thanks! Spinnick597 22:51, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- Congrats Nick, it is a great pic. Maybe BU would offer you a scholarship to their school for you to continue your work.
