[edit]Hi I understand you're still a bit new, see Talk:Benjamin Franklin in regards to the contradictions you pointed out, if you read more these contradictions aren't so more rather the articles back up the information. Franklin was in France from 1779-1781 and in 1782 the Dutch were at that time (or during the year) the second country to formally recognise the US. In regards to the Constitutional Post, Goddard's idea was short-lived as the Congress on July 26, 1775 authorised for a government run Post office to be setup.
