Welcome

[edit]

Hello, Starship Trooper, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!

I would strongly advise that you read some of the above before further editing to avoid your user name being blocked --Salix alba (talk) 08:37, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Gimp

[edit]

When deleting large quantities of material from an article, please provide an edit summary to explain why you are deleting it. If you do not, people may assume you are vandalising the article. — Haeleth Talk 08:12, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Would you care to explain why you removed content from the GIMP article? It all looks like valid content to me, only the padlock images are perhaps not necessary. Imroy 09:34, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bad form

[edit]

Ditto for the Xbox 360 and Warez articles. You removed images, links and content from them without explaining why. I've reinstated what you removed. Let's discuss on the relevant article's talk page whether such content isn't suitable/necessary. Thanks. --Oscarthecat 10:36, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ditto for Algebra your heading for a Ban at this rate. --Salix alba (talk) 23:29, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent contribution to Continued fraction is vandalism. Further contributions in this manner will result in loss of editing privileges. You have been warned.

You removed some external links from this article, declaring them as spam. They don't appear to be spam : they're mathematical articles. I've reinstated them. --Oscarthecat 06:41, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You removed the links again, and I have restored them. I believe they are valid and useful links, and certainly not spam. If you wish to argue for their removal, please state your case on the article's talk page. Gandalf61 08:29, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Have you even followed the links and looked at the pages, or are you simply going on the fact that two of them are from the same domain? Take a look at the pages and you will see that they're not spam. And stop using the Wikipedia vandalism templates on user pages. Imroy 09:54, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent contribution to Warez is vandalism. Further contributions in this manner will result in loss of editing privileges. You have been warned.

Your edits to the Warez article have been reverted, as they don't appear to be merely removal of POV, instead removing content. --Oscarthecat 06:43, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
