Moving forward.

As you have discovered, we take a fairly dim view of people using Wikipedia to promote their own interests. No biggie.... you live, you learn, right? Get a new username and start over. When I lived in Bloomington in the mid 70s, there was a very vibrant music scene. Is the Blue Note still around?

A few words on what an encyclopedia is: By definition, an encyclopedia is a tertiary source. That means that its content is based on information that has already been published in reliable sources. The standard for inclusion here at Wikipedia is called notability. What subjects get articles is based on what has been written about them (or made note of). There is a guideline for what makes a subject notable in general (GNG) and there are numerous guidelines for specific subjects that give guidance for those subjects (For example there is one for musical groups at NBAND).

So, to sum it up....you gotta change your username. Once you've done that, drop me a note on my talk page and I'll see to it that you get some reference material and links to help for editing Wikipedia. Meantime, everything in blue is a link. Click them to see some of the details. You kinda hit the nail on the head with your note on my talk page. Articles on cities generally do not include info on stuff that is of importance only to the residents of the city. Sources for info added to the encyclopedia need to be reliable, and as a user generated site, YouTube is usually not that. Wikipedia may be the encyclopedia anyone can edit, but that is a misleading slogan. Yes anyone may edit it, but there is a learning curve before you get to the point where you can edit it.
