I removed your addition to the external links section per WP:EL which says that forums should not be linked to. Thanks. -- Steel 15:03, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
Oh! So, that is what happened. I replaced the link thinking it was removed because of spelling. No problem, I'll go back and delete it. Thank you. :)

[edit]That ext link isn't encyclopedic and seems like link spam.--Nectar 07:23, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
links
[edit]Dear "Nectar" - Can you be more specific? Are you talking about the ext, Orc page?
Sorry. I'm talking about this link on the race pages "orc magazine" --Nectar 10:22, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
I might understand why you took the link off of the "race and crime" page because "Google Your Race" is not about "crime". But, I'd like it if you would please let me put the link back on the race page. I can't see how it's "spam" in THAT category because "Google Your Race" is about "Races". I'm sure you will agree that it is relevant to the subject of "Race". May I please put the link back on the race page? Pretty please. :D
- I thought it was a funny page, but it doesn't seem appropriate for a serious encyclopedia. If the site was mentioned in a notable publication or if the author was a notable commentator then an argument could be opened for it's inclusion.--Nectar 11:20, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- I did a search for "Google Your Race" and found 80 online publications that wrote about it or linked to it. Granted, only some of them I would call "notable". But it was a catalyst for conversation on many blogs and forums. "Google your race" provides a snap shot view of what the online community thinks of various races - it's relevant. Again, I humbly ask your permission to put the link about races back on the page about race.
- I won't protest at Race unless other editors do, so go ahead on that article. --Nectar 02:27, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
- Cool! Thank you. :D

[edit]Please do not add commercial links or links to your own private websites to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links to the encyclopedia. If you feel the link should be added to the article please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thanks. --Rockero 20:25, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
re: spam
[edit]I just read about "when to add external links" add you might be right about me over doing external linking. Sorry about that. I'll try rewritting my articals and adding them rather then just placeing an external link. Thank you for pointing that out. :)— Preceding unsigned comment added by Suncrafter (talk • contribs)

Like this? -----> Suncrafter 02:49, 27 June 2006 (UTC) ...Hey! That's rather cool - it shows your name, time and date... But what does "(UTC)" stand for?
"Google your Race" Link
[edit]Why are you removing this link from the Google talk page, but then adding it to various race-related sites? Google Your Race --ZimZalaBim (talk) 11:15, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- "Google your race" was originally on a 20+ pages. This got one editor upset and he/she removed the link from most of those pages. That was a shame because "Google your race" was very relevant to those topics. I did not try to "fight" it because that would just piss the editor off and make things worse. If you like "Google your race" then please go ahead a re-add the link to pages you think they should go to. I've tried, but they just got deleted. I don't want to get banned for spamming so if you want the links put back, feel free to do it your self. - The reason that I tried to remove my link from the talk pages was so that I could cut down on the number of "Google your race" links from unnecessary pages. Evidently I'm not allowed to do that. - Did that answer your question? Suncrafter 03:53, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
