Sunil Michael Louis born (December 12, 1985, Tamil Nadu, India) is an Indian Junior football player. He played in Asia Cup and received a Best Player Award after being voted best junior footballer of the year 2002. A notable footballer and software Engineer, he is often referred to as the Dynamo of Tamil Nadu for his trategist and a team player, as well as highly technical with the ball. He could manage himself effectively in limited spaces, and would attract defenders only to quickly dash out of the melee. He was also a dangerous free kick taker.


Sunil Louis won various trophies with St.Catherine FC, Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Block Buster and Jamal FC Tiruchirappalli over the course of his career. During an international career that included 21 caps and 12 goals, he played all India Level Football tournaments(including IFA sheild, Federation cups, and NFL for Indian Bank), leading the Tamil Nadu team to its victory over West Bengal in 2005, in which he collected the Top Scorer award as the tournament's best player. His second goal against Kerala in the quarter-finals of the '2002 tournament -- a spectacular 60-meter weave through 4 Kerala players -- is commonly referred to as "Best Goal of Indian Football history".

Sunil has received two honorary Graduates, from the Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, India in 2002, and Bharathidasn University the Jamal Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli,India in 2005.

Sunil made his professional debut on December 02, 2000 ten days before his fifteenth birthday, with St.Catherine FC, E.P.Thurai.

Sunil is a common Indian male name. It literally means "very or Good" (su) blue (nil) in Sanskrit. It also means extending all over as the blue sky or 'The Infinite'. It is one of the names of Lord Vishnu Sunil is also called "Blue diamond".
