Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Educational data mining. When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. As a follow up, since other users - apparently colleagues of you - were very offended by me here. I consider it disrespectful to "blank" an entire section like this (it also violates some Wikipedia policies), in particular when the author seems to have what is called a WP:Conflict of interest. My refusal to accept the section blanking is solely because of this. I don't judge the quality (I don't know much about educational data mining); in fact I also added the "needs cleanup" marker to this section (and a "very long" marker now, too, since the section is overweight).
The article isn't in a good shape, it was not either before I moved this "large chunk" of text from another page there. It needs a lot of work, and people will surely welcome if you improve on the article.
But consider that you wrote this amount of text. You wouldn't want others to just delete it entirely. If however someone comes along, removes redundancy and integrates in a nice overall article? This is the kind of contribution that is most welcome in Wikipedia. You are very welcome to change, reorganize, summarize and enhance things. Reverting changes is mostly a measure appropriate for vandalism or operating errors. Thank you. --Chire (talk) 07:33, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
