Link clarity and section links
[edit]Regarding my reversion of your edit at List of Olmsted works, in my edit summary I linked to WP:LINKCLARITY but I'm not sure this provides adequate explanation. A link like [[Spokane, Washington|Spokane, Washington Park System]]
implies that A) the article linked is about the park system of Spokane and B) "Spokane, Washington Park System" is the official name of that place or institution, as indicated by capitalization. The preexisting text, "Spokane, Washington city parks", doesn't have these issues.
If, as your edit summary suggested, you wanted to link to the parks section of the city article, [[Spokane, Washington#Parks and recreation|Spokane, Washington park system]]
would achieve this. However, section links are notoriously harder to maintain than article links (MOS:SECTIONLINKS has more information about ways to avoid broken section links). Ibadibam (talk) 00:09, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
