Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, TTetLS. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Josiane Zerubia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. I have seen the discussion on our French talk page. The same goes here: as a friend of Zerubia, you have a conflict of interest. Randykitty (talk) 14:24, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
- Hello,
- I'm new on Wiki...
- I put my "conflicts of interest" on the talk. TTetLS (talk) 14:34, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, you should not be editing the article about someone you know. You have removed the conflict of interest tag from the article and added inappropriate external links in the infobox. Please request changes on the article's Talk page. Tacyarg (talk) 21:29, 3 March 2023 (UTC)
- Hello Tacyarg,
- I had left the tag because it is true.
- But I was checking for dead links when I saw a treacherous sentence : "[JZ is the] sole permanent member" of Ayana. It's also true (she'll be retiring soon)... but keep quiet her 3 steduents, 1 research ingenieer, and so on...
- Then i searched in the history : the guy whot put this is Randykitty
- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Randykitty
- ... well konwn by the scientific wikipedia users : https://hoizamme.wixsite.com/mysite/randykitty-users
- I edited the infobox because it was outdated : JZ is now director of research exceptional class (DRCE)...but if you want, I go back to the old version
- Have a nice week-end. TTetLS (talk) 08:04, 4 March 2023 (UTC)
