About Shadow of the Colossus thing

[edit]

Oh, sorry, I didn't know that. I thought a palindrome is not only a word that becames another word backwards, but all words backwards in general :)

Strange deletions

[edit]

Hello, JC. I saw the removal of text from the user talk page of the anonymous user 67.180.230.164... but I don't see how the removal was done. I didn't remove any of your text: I replied below it and (at least according to the edit history of the page) you were the one who removed my text to make your reply. I am confused.

My apologies! What had happened was user 67.180.230.164 had erased his whole Talk Page with "np" (I'm not sure why... I think it was in response to the "thank you for your experimenting" message, since that's what it said in the edit summary)... So I had reverted it while also asking him to refrain from doing so in the future. However, I seem to have removed something of yours, too, while doing so, since you had edited it after that, I think. It is very bizarre. I'll go in right now and fix it so that your comment is present.  :) -JC 08:20, 15 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Not at all! I'm glad the explanation was something rational and not some glitch or error on my part. Thank you for straightening it out.  :)

Colour

[edit]

Your edit in colour confinement was correct. Thanks. -- Xerxes 18:05, 27 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the confirmation. It was just bizarre to have it all different from the article title. If "Color" and not "Colour" was the technical term (although I don't see why the American over the British would be at all "more technical" - they're probably equally exchangeable) it would make most sense to change the article title, but as it was, it's probably best to fit everything else to the title, instead. :) -JC 00:54, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Colossi names

[edit]

yeah, i don't see any particular reference to that in the article. I was just puzzled because i've seen the set of names that I posted in so many different places on the web, but this is the first i have heard of "Elite War Horse", for example. I could be wrong about them though, at any rate. Let me know if you find a reference. Dr. Ke 06:33, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Grand Gigas was so much cooler than Grand Superior though. Dr. Ke 07:34, 11 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
But much more redundant :P And I personally think "Grand Superior" is good enough. I like to just call him the Sorcerer Malus. It's hard to think of him as "superior" when he acts more stupidly than most other colossi, but he's amusing because I'd totally make him the star of Dance Dance Colossus. -JC 07:50, 11 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Shrine Map

[edit]

Hey JC, hows that map coming along? It would be really nice to finally put it in the artcile and fill that empty space to the right of the shrine list. Just thought you migh want a reminder :) Tani unit 02:43, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Morality

[edit]

Hello there. You recently left a message regarding a recent edit I made on the Shadow of Colossus article. In it you discussed my removal of the term 'good and evil.' Usage of these terms are inherently moralistic and always involved a point of view unless directly quoted from the source material. This is why I removed the terms, as I feel they violate the NPOV policy as they're not directly mentioned by the game. By calling either of these 'elements' "good" or "evil" you're making a moral judgement call. :bloodofox: 20:07, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's pretty clear that the game is intending to show Dormin that way, however. Perhaps using something like "a blessing and a curse" instead? Since to Wander, Dormin is a blessing, whereas to Emon it seems Dormin is much more like a curse. "Good" and "Evil" are a good pair of opposites, but it's true that they're not very NPOV... Not a problem.  :) This is why I thought I'd ask, instead of just, you know, reverting or something silly like that. -JC 07:16, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sup yo?

[edit]

Hey, it's Sir VG back at cha. Thanks for the message. Actually, I don't play much LOM outside of speedruns. Though I am working on the ultimate full-game run so that I can hopefully send it off to SDA. And the speed run records is something that a few of us at SDA are beginning to add to the pages. It's important information! ^^;; --Sir VG 19:09, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Balefire

[edit]

I could have sworn it was balefire, though I'm too lazy to find out which book. It's either Knife of Dreams, or Eye of the World, where it talks about why the female Aes Sedai stayed out of the final battle. Sorry though. Ninjoc 21:18, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies, labelling it as a minor edit was an honest mistake. A case of reflex rather than malice. :) disastrophe 12:45, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
