November 2017[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Jerry Hunter, but we cannot accept original research. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 19:26, 22 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Talybont1. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. Editing for the purpose of advertising or promotion is not permitted. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. SovalValtos (talk) 11:38, 23 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

June 2019[edit]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did on Roy Paul. This violates Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Mattythewhite (talk) 22:43, 25 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

REPLY: I'm very sorry to seem to have violated Wikipedia's policy, but in the notes about the edit I included the URL of the paragraph on his nephew Alan Curtis' page which DID have a source reference for their relationship, and asked if someone could add the same source to the sentence I added on Ron Paul. It was done in good faith, just with a lack of technical knowledge about how to add the reference. NB If this is not how to reply to mattythewhite, I apologise - again, I'm not sure how to do it!
