Ontario County Roads

I would like your input on the List of Ontario county numbered roads, and the naming conventions (on the talk page). the names are getting ridiculously long, and they need to all adhere to a standard, along with the categories. i've proposed some standards there. please tell me what you think. :) RaccoonFoxTalkStalk 00:41, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

I KNOW they are handled by separate county governments and not the provincial ones. how is the title misleading? it says "Essex County roads". not "Provincial Roads in Essex County". Besides, you can change the titles...i was just trying to make things a uniform series, and have shorter names... I don't mean to sound rude or sound like i'm yelling... i'm just doing the best i can on articles i have knowledge on... :) RaccoonFoxTalkStalk 00:43, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

What would you like me to do? would you want me to move the articles to a different name? i'd like your information as well on this. RaccoonFoxTalkStalk 02:36, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

County Roads

Well, i was working on the county roads for a few months now.... i have a wikiproject already going,, but if you want to start one for the Greater Toronto Area, or for Ontario's county roads only, i'll help you. The wikiproject is located here.

i didn't mean to anger you, and i hope we can work together on this, as i could certainly use the help, and you seem to know what you're doing, as well. RaccoonFoxTalkStalk 02:40, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

Wikiprojects

Alright, my friend. To start a Wikiproject, follow that link i just gave, and it will list how to create a wikiproject. I can explain tomorrow, and help you start it up, as it takes a while, generally 1-2h (for me anyway). Now, my email is slycooper1986@yahoo.ca if you have any further questions. I also have several instant messenger prorgams that you can contact me on, as shown on my Userpage. Cheers and i'll see you tomorrow! RaccoonFoxTalkStalk 02:52, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

Also, Wikipedia:WikiProject Canada Roads is very informative. I've seen, and i love what you've done so far. RaccoonFoxTalkStalk 02:54, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

If you wish, i can even start the wikiproject for you, and get the basics done tonight. RaccoonFoxTalkStalk 02:54, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

You're welcome. RaccoonFoxTalkStalk 03:00, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

How to make a Wikiproject Template

First, observe a small template in one of the other wikiproejct templates.

Example:

Code Result
{{User WikiProject Ontario Highways}}
This user is a member of the Ontario Roads subproject of the Canada Roads WikiProject.

Now, most wikiprojects start with the address/title of Wikipedia:Wikiproject. Yours would probably be best suited as "Wikipedia:Wikiproject Greater Toronto Area Roads" or something similar.

I will make you a template, so you should not worry too much. However, to use a template on a page, use {{templatename}}, and to make your signature, use ~~~~

RaccoonFoxTalkStalk 18:42, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

Do we really need to put all that at the top of the page? No offence, but it looks ugly. - Hinto 22:51, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

I've removed it. It's too strong. Mindmatrix 15:28, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

Hiya!

I'm going to help you and Ilovevancouver90909 anyway i can. However, shouldn't the names "Region" and "York" be inverted? they *always* say the area name on top, and then its type on the bottom.... The Legendary RaccoonFoxTalkStalk 00:59, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

County Road Symbols

Well, i've been to york region, and i have images of York Regional road shields...they are standardized. and no, i live in Essex County, ontario. The Legendary RaccoonFoxTalkStalk 03:05, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

Your signature

Hi Smcafirst, I would like to suggest that you make a few modifications to your signature. According to WP:SIG, in particular your signature is not "short in display", and it does not even contain your username or a similar variation of it. This is only a request, but would be appreciated as an example to other members who could see your signature and assume that if one as long as yours is ok, then it is ok for them PLUS a little larger. Thank you. — CobraWiki ( jabber | stuff ) 03:06, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

  • I second the above request. Your signature is long enough to hamper both reading and editing of the page, and while I'm sure it's tongue-in-cheek you shouldn't be saying that you make pages official, for the same reason people shouldn't have usernames like "WikiAdmin". >Radiant< 10:33, 25 December 2006 (UTC)

Reply: Request for being Wikifriends

Oh, you don't have to ask! I love making new Wikifriends. I'll add you to my Wikifriends section in my userboxes (gosh....I have to update it....I've got like, 15 new friends!). I'd be very interested in ideas of vandalism! Hello my new WikiFriend! Hey, did you sign the Autograph Book while you added your own guestbook? It's the "sign here" in my sig! Why didn't you sign the book? Oh, about that Punk'd page, it was just a practical joke. I borrowed that idea. Just changed the coding so that it leads you to the joke page. Don't worry, it's not a virus ;). --Tohru Honda13Sign here! 06:35, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
Punk'd Page-- I received the link. Thanks. It's User:Tohru Honda13/You Got Punk'd!, right?

Of course you can use it! I'm actually not all too gifted with html either. Some peaople have pics that link to different sub pages... Unfortunately, I know very little about Canada(I live in Houston), but good luck! Tennis DyNamiTe (sign here) 04:26, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

Cleanup WP:GHR

I appreciate the invitation to join WP:GHR, but I just don't have the time. I spend most of my time involved in WikiProject Stub sorting, and that's pretty much all I have time for. I came across your project while doing something else for WP:WSS, and I just thought it could use a little cleanup. I'm glad that you like it and I hope I wasn't too WP:BOLD. I don't think I would mind if you added me as a Wikifriend. Thanks for the honor! Anyway, have a great day and happy editing! ~ Amalas rawr =^_^= 15:59, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

I reverted Kennedy Road (Ontario) until I saw what you were doing, and temporarily redirected that to the Toronto page. Why do you think this particular Kennedy Road belongs where it should? Also I think, for more uses, users should be directed to the plain Kennedy Road page. Thanks, JRHorse 14:30, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

Re: Birthdate

Yes, I was born in 1993. Oh, and about that question you asked me about the Golden Horseshoe (or something like that), I'm afraid I'm not very familiar with that. Sorry! --Tohru Honda13Sign here! 00:38, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
