Article[edit]

Thank you for your contributions re: article Sandpainting. I would like to remind you that you are writing an article for an encyclopedia. That, for one, means that one does not write an article that better fits in a different kind of publication. There may be entries you made that probably could use a second look for relevance and contribution to brevity. For example one of your last entries: [1]. It is entirely not clear to me why this information should be relevant to the article. --VanBurenen (talk) 14:40, 20 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Marmortinto[edit]

I noticed you changed in article Marmotinto de term to marmortinto. What is the background of that change? Are both versions acceptable, or is, in your opinion, one preferred? And on what grounds? Somebody reverted your change, but maybe you can make a strong case for your version. --VanBurenen (talk) 09:28, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In all the historical references in the footnotes going back as far as 'Notes and Queries' 1854, (http://nq.oxfordjournals.org/content/vols1-IX/issue228/index.dtl)- second article on page, the spelling has always been "Marmortinto" which translates from italian as "Marble dust painting"
