Just a note

[edit]

G'day Thescene, Just as a suggestion, you might want to wait for results to actually occur before you update. The Dellaqua/Jankovic match is currently 6-6 and in a tiebreak, not 7-5 as you have reported it on the relevant wikipedia page. dialagranny (talk) 09:34, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Despite previous notifications, you continue to update matches before they are completed. Please refrain from such activities. LeaveSleaves (talk) 09:02, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Golf

[edit]

Please do not edit the PGA TOUR season schedule table with the winner of an event until the person has, in fact, won the event. You edited the article to note Woods' victory nearly 15 minutes before he actually holed out the putt that won the tournament. It is always possible for a player, even a great player, to carve up a hole and blow even an enormous lead in a sport like golf. MrArticleOne (talk) 23:41, 27 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on 2008 Pattaya Women's Open - Women's Doubles requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. скоморохъ ѧ 06:00, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article 2008 ABN Amro World Tennis Tournament - Men's Singles, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
