Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. ThemFromSpace 00:38, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by some search engines, including Google. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. ThemFromSpace 05:06, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure if this is the right place to respond, but here goes. I'm a new user, so sorry for not appropriately responding to your first removal of the link. I read the Link guidelines, and believe the link is still appropriate. It does link to my web site (that's why I used a sign-in name that shows it's my site), but believe my site is as relevant for this subject as the Hardcore Punk forum and My Praize links immediatley above it. My site has music reviews and information about Christian Punk bands, the same as those other two. It is not a commercial site, just a place that I hope people interested in this subject will be able to get useful information. It someone were wanting to research additional information about Christian Punk bands, it would be helpful to them to be able to find the ThumperPunk website. Thanks. Please read over WP:ELNO once more. Points 1, 4, and 11 are relevant here. External links, outside of links to the subject's official pages, should only contain encyclopedic material that for some reason (like brevity or copyright infringement) can not be incorporated into the Wikipedia article. Blog links shouldn't be used unless the writer is notable in his field. Also, you should not plug links for sites which you are personally affiliated with, doing such is acting in a conflict of interest. You're welcome to contribute constructively, but plugging in your own link doesn't count as that. ThemFromSpace 03:20, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

OK. Thanks for considering. Wikipedia clearly has found the recipe for success, so I’ll not argue with that. Best, TP
