Duplicated references

[edit]

Just a note: You appear to have inadvertently duplicated references on Fikile Ntshangase. (I've deduplicated them.) Typically when a source is used in multiple places in an article, it appears once in the references list with multiple footnotes in the body referencing it. This is done using WP:named references. The reference is spelled out once, and then the named reference tag is inserted wherever needed in the text. In the visual editor, to reuse a reference footnote just copy and paste it. – Anon423 (talk) 08:18, 29 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Student project?

[edit]

Hi ThunderLeaves, I've noticed a flurry of new activity and editors on a number of pages, including Fikile Ntshangase. Out of curiosity, are you or the others part of a class or other group initiative/project? I've noticed a pattern of removing sections before replacing them, which I might recommend against since it leads to annoyances such as duplicated references. Let me know if you have any questions, or perhaps visit the WP:Teahouse for friendly help. – Anon423 (talk) 04:20, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
